Our first guests for the New Year were BIG as well as fast! We had a lovely time with our giant cuddlers and high octane playground sessions, and a lot of fun in the snow! It was lovely to meet new guests and welcome back some familiar paws too.
Even in the worst winter weather we can snuggle into our warm quilts & beds on our hot floors, and enjoy a home made cookie or two......
On the farm we had exciting news from the sheeps' pregnancy scanning, with lots of triplets expected - so lots of our sheep are eating for 4! They are getting lots of hay in the snowy weather, but will be coming in to the shed soon to get ready for lambing.
Lots of you are booking your holidays and we are filling up quickly now for the summer so please let us know if you would like your dog to stay with us - or there may not be room at the inn!
Wait for it....!
Full speed ahead for Scooby...
Happy New Year..and birthday celebrations!
We found sitting by the fire very addictive this Christmas - our first one off work (apart from farming, obviously!) since we opened. Talking of when we opened - this year is Centre Barks 10th Birthday!
The year has started with a refresh of the website and a new Facebook page (link below) to keep everyone up to date with what's going on.
Let us know what you think...and have a scroll through the pictures to see if there's anyone you know :)
We have some plans forming in our minds as to how to celebrate our decade of looking after all your wonderful dogs...cake is bound to be included! In the meantime it is back outside in this torrential rain and evenings in the play barn with our New Year Crew.
On the farm our cows are snuggly bedded in for the winter - and the calves in another shed now to give the mums a rest before their next calf is born in March. The sheep have been spending time with Robert and Trevor, and have an important date this Sunday to be scanned and see how many lambs they will have in March and April.
Generally this time of year is about keeping all warm, dry and well fed!
The extremely cold weather before Christmas saw Bertie acquire his first coat...but the launch of a few snowballs showed he can still catch some air despite being 11!
